Title: Decomposition Numbers of \(GL(n,q)\)
Abstract:
Gerhard Hiss has done important work on decomposition numbers of finite classical groups in non-defining characteristics, using the theory of q-Schur algebras. In this talk we will describe recent work on decomposition numbers of \(GL(n,q)\), especially a connection with Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
