Title: Locating Endo-Trivial Modules on the Brauer Tree

Abstract: If $$G$$ is a finite group and $$k$$ a field of prime characteristic $$p$$, a $$kG$$-module is termed "endo-trivial" if its $$k$$-endomorphism ring decomposes as a direct sum of a copy of the trivial module and projective summands. In this talk we explain how to determine whether a simple $$kG$$-module is endo-trivial by looking at its position on the Brauer tree.
