Area of Mathematics

My main mathematical interest is in the representation theory of groups, with an emphasis on finite groups of Lie type and reductive algebraic groups. In particular I'm interested in questions which can be handled with computational methods. In this context I'm generally interested in the use and development of computer algebra systems and algorithms in computer algebra.
