Here is a piece of food for thought: why can't there be two (in
general more than one) maximally distant point). For example, the
24 Plummer Crosses and the "every edge flipped" configuration.

And the obvious question is: how far apart are these maximally
distant types. Between different types is probably more
interesting than between different "reflections" of the same
type.
