Title: Counting Unipotent Brauer Characters in Finite Reductive Groups

Let \(q\) be the power of an odd prime number, \(G\) a finite reductive group defined over \(\mathbb{F}_q\). Inspired by the Lusztig's classification of unipotent characters, we propose a method to count irreducible brauer characters of \(G\) lying in unipotent blocks. Then, we verify that our method is effective for \(SL_n(q), SU_n(q)\), simple classical groups and simple adjoint exceptional groups.
