NIKOLAUS CONFERENCE 2002

What is it?

The Nikolaus conference is an annual meeting of people with interest in group and representation theory, with an emphasis on computational aspects of these topics.

All talks are no longer than 20 to 30 minutes and further discussions between the talks and in the evenings of the conference days are strongly encouraged. Participants who have recently finished their diploma or doctoral thesis are particularly welcome to present their results.

Is there a program?

Yes.

When and where is it?

This year the meeting is - obviously! - scheduled from Friday, December 6, 2002 (2pm) to Saturday, December 7, 2002 (6pm for talks and late night for evening session).

The meeting takes place at Lehrstuhl D für Mathematik at the RWTH Aachen. Ask for "Templergraben 64, 52062 Aachen" in MAP 24 to see how to find us. For train connections see the Deutsche Bahn. You may want to look at this map to find us from the station.

Interested to come?

If you want to come use this registration page to find more technical details about registration, submission of talks, accomodation, travel expenses ...

Want to solve a puzzle?

Here is a puzzle for (a certain subset of) mathematicians. If you solve it you can even win some extra minutes for your talk at the Nikolaus conference.
