The CHEVIE package

Share package since release 3.4, April 1997. (This has superseded the GAP 3 share package "weyl".)
CHEVIE has not yet been transferred to or replaced in GAP 4. You can use it only in GAP 3.

Description

CHEVIE is a computer algebra project for symbolic calculations with generic character tables of groups of Lie type, Coxeter groups, Iwahori-Hecke algebras and other related structures. It is based on the computer algebra systems GAP 3, and MAPLE.

Manual

A CHEVIE manual is given in the chapters 74 to 86 of the GAP 3 manual.
