Structure of maximal tori in exceptional groups
Sometimes it is useful to know the precise structure of maximal tori in finite groups of Lie type, say, in form of a list of elementary divisors (in particular, it may be interesting to know which maximal tori are cyclic groups).
For groups of Lie type arising from simple reductive groups of exceptional type this was worked out in the article arXiv 2308.10971:
